Unit 1: macro

Macro 105mm. The honey bee was one of many on the ‘Judas tree’ at Kew Gardens as it is the only one still in blossom at the end of spring after our long wet winter. Weighted down with nectar, it conveniently stayed still for quite a few seconds while I adjusted focus. Used manual settings incl focus, the metering was difficult to get right and in the end the pictures needed to be lightened in processing.
